our main goal has always been creating correct information about
asexuality. However, we think IAD should be used to spread information
less focused on asexuality as an “issue”, and more about the life and
experiences of asexual people.
Gruppo Asessualità
The Group Asessualità is part of CIG Arcigay Milano, the historic
organization of Milan that fights for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people. The
Group was founded in 2015 with the aim of providing asexual people with
a safe place to meet and socialize but also with the aim of providing
information, create networks, create events in the area and to provide
support to those who need it.

We would like to use this day to celebrate the italian ace
community. It is our impression that we use all the moments dedicated to
asexuality to raise awareness about it, and while we think this
objective is very important we also think it is as important to choose a
moment dedicated only to us as ace people. Another important aspect to
consider is the international charachter of this day, in which we’d like
to talk about the worldwide asexual community, maybe working together
with some other ace organization of another country. And lastly we would
like to give an intersectional meaning to this day by reflecting on the
place that the A has within the whole LGBTQIA community.
